As an Australian owned and run company we believe it’s important not just to be a part of the community but to give something back to it. If you know an organisation or initiative that could use our help, send us an email!

Farm Animal Rescue is an amazing organisation based right here in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland that gives sanctuary to rescued farm animals of all kinds. This incredible place offers day tours so you can get up close and personal with these beautiful animals.
Want to get even more involved? As well as donating or sponsoring an animal, you can also volunteer to help out at the farm or attend one of their many fundraising events (where vEEF will probably be on the menu)!
OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it directly to more than 1300 charities supporting people in need across the country.
Founded in 2004 by Ronni Kahn AO, after noticing the huge volume of good food going to waste from the hospitality industry, she decided there had to be a better way. Starting in Sydney with one van – the first of many donations from Goodman+ Foundation – she delivered 4,000 meals in the first month.
OzHarvest now operates nationally, rescuing over 180 tonnes of food each week from over 3,500 food donors including supermarkets, hotels, airports, wholesalers, farmers, corporate events, catering companies, shopping centres, delis, cafes, restaurants, film and TV shoots and boardrooms.
We are proud to be able to donate our excess food to Oz Harvest knowing that it will not be wasted.
SCCUD is an open invitation, voluntary initiative to clean up below the water line on the Sunshine Coast. They focus on removing, reporting and responsibly discarding harmful debris from shallow waterways and shoreline.
The group was set-up utilising guidelines from Project AWARE and the Adopt a Dive Site program. SCCUD continues to collaborate with Project AWARE and reports data to them and the Australian Marine Debris Initiative.
As of March 2021, SCCUD has removed approximately 1.2 tonnes of harmful debris, including 50km of fishing line and some 10,000 individual items.
We are glad to partner with the initiatives of SCCUD by sponsoring their BBQ get togethers after each community clean-up.
Have a delicious journey and don’t forget to tag us @veefbyfennfoods in your recipes!
